May

Term 2 has started and we are so happy to have Mrs Masters back as she has been unwell since the end of last year. Although a bit wobbly on her feet, she is right back into it and the gardens are back on track. Thanks to Bob, our class teachers, volunteers and the Year 4 and 5 children who worked so hard while she was away to keep things going.
Much work was needed on the composts and the children have been using clever sieve systems to separate. Mulching and clearing of weeds has been happening and it is looking fantastic down by the greenhouse.

In the kitchen we have made an apple and date chutney, sticky coconut and feijoa muffins, a choko fruit curry with mint raita, spiced pumpkin muffins, curried vegetable fritters, roasted pumpkin hummus and broadbean dip.
